(Spirit Lake)– A volunteer group that patrols the Dickinson county recreational trail wants to purchase a special sign that clocks and displays the speed of passing motorists.
Lynn Wallace of Seniors And Lawmen Together, or SALT, says the sign would make drivers more conscientious of just how fast they’re going…and hopefully embarrass them into slowing down.
Wallace says the portable sign would be moved around to various trouble spots throughout Dickinson county and the municipalities.
Wallace and other SALT members are requesting the county and cities contribute toward purchasing the sign…estimated to cost between 10-thousand and 15-thousand dollars.
