(Spirit Lake)– One of the lakes area’s largest employers is contributing a million dollars to the YMCA project.
Tom Bedell announced Tuesday Pure Fishing is making the donation over a number of years.
KUOO news announced last week the fundraising campaing for a YMCA in the lakes area had surpassed the four million dollar mark. That figure included the million dollars donated by Pure Fishing.
Bedell says the YMCA project is vital to making the lakes area an even better place to live and work and to raise a family. He says it will go a long way toward bringing more jobs to the area. Bedell says quality of life and schools are two questions most commonly asked by company officials looking to expand or locate in the lakes area.
So far, four-point-two million of the six million dollars needed for the project has been raised.
