37 Arrested For Public Intox/OWI Late Wednesday & Early Thursday

November 23, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– The Fourth of July is off and running in the Iowa Great Lakes.

The revelry started late Wednesday night and continued early this (Thurs.) morning.

Dickinson county authorities say 37 people were booked into jail during that timeframe. Most of them were charged with public intoxication or drunk driving. The majority of the arrests were made in Arnolds Park.

Police early this (Thurs.) morning were called to several disturbances at motels…where additional arrests were made for public intoxication.

Authorities expect even more arrests late tonight and early tomorrow (Fri.).

A special session of Magistrate’s Court is being held today (Thurs.) to make room in the Dickinson county jail.
