(Arnolds Park)– A Spirit Lake woman sustained minor injuries when she was struck by a car Saturday night in downtown Arnolds Park.
Police say 26-year-old Joey James of Spirit Lake was walking across West Broadway Street when she was struck by a westbound car driven by 18-year-old Johnathon Guthrie of Milford.
James was taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
The mishap took place in front of the Prairie Soul Board Shop around 11:30 Saturday night.
Police say it was raining heavily at the time.
Arnolds Park Police were assisted on the scene by the Spirit Lake Police Department, Arnolds Park Rescue and Dickinson County Ambulance.
