(Spencer)– Drug charges have been filed against three Clay county residents as the result of search warrants executed this (Mon.) morning in Dickens.
Authorities say the warrants were executed simultaneously by deputies from the Clay, O’Brien and Emmet County Sheriff’s Offices on residences owned by Curtis Lee Oberhelman and Valerie Ann Larson at 311 first street and Charles and Tina Mooney at 313 First Street.
Arrested following the searches were 35-year-old Curtis Lee Oberhelman, 30-year-old Valerie Ann Larson and 34-year-old Charles Prentice Mooney…all of Dickens.
Oberhelmen and Larson were charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and child endangerment…an aggravated misdemeanor. They are being held in the Clay county jail on bond of 8,775-dollars. Mooney was charged with possession of a controlled substance-marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held in the Clay county jail on bond of 2,275-dollars.
Authorities say the child endangerment charges against Oberhelman and Larson stem from having a 16-month-old child present in the home. The child has been turned over to the Department of Human Services.
The Clay County Sheriff’s office says additional arrests are likely as the investigation continues.
