(Emmetsburg)– An Estherville teen is Miss Shamrock, 2005.
18-year-old Kayla Marie Helget, daughter of Tim and Diane Helget of Estherville, was crowned at last (Sunday) evening’s 2005 Miss Shamrock Pageant in Emmetsburg.
Kayla will have a busy week ahead as she’ll be reigning over the various St. Patrick’s Day events going on in Emmetsburg.
Kayla is a senior at Estherville-Lincoln Central High School.
She was one of 10 contestants vying for Miss Shamrock. Marisa Blackmon, daughter of Jay and Marta Blackmon of Emmetsburg, was second runner-up and Katy Hall…daughter of Preston and Janan Hall of Marion, was first runner-up.
