(Spirit Lake)– The Iowa Great Lakes have been blanketed by as much as 10 inches of snow thanks to a late season snowstorm.
Snow continued to fall late this (Fri.) afternoon and is expected to finally taper off later tonight.
White-out conditions were reported earlier this (Fri.) afternoon as strong northeast winds combined with moderate to heavy snowfall to create near zero-visibility.
The National Weather Service says Saturday and Sunday should be dry, with the possibility of more measurable snow again Monday.
