(Orleans)– An Okoboji teen was injured in a moped accident over the weekend.
Spirit Lake police say 14-year-old Daniel Welch lost control of a 1982 Honda when he slid on some sand at the intersection of 140th Street and Sunset Avenue in Orleans.
Welch was taken by private vehicle to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
The mishap took place around 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
