Two Inmates Escape From Cherokee County Jail

(Cherokee)– Two men escaped Monday night from the Cherokee county jail in Cherokee.

The first is identified as 34-year-old James Ricker of Sioux City. He’s described as a white male, six feet four inches tall, 180 pounds with blue eyes and blondish-red hair.

The other is identified as 22-year-old Adam Robert Mathison…also of Sioux City…described as a white male; six feet tall, weighing 160 pounds with hazel eyes and a recently shaved head.

Authorities say the two escaped on foot around 10:00 p.m. wearing orange jail clothes.

Ricker was being held on burglary charges on bond of 9,750-dollars; Mathison was being held for the U-S Marshall’s Office on a federal warrant.
