November 23, 2014

(Cherokee)– The search continues for one of two men who escaped Monday night from the Cherokee county jail in Cherokee.

34-year-old Andrew James Ricker of Sioux City remains at-large. Cherokee county authorities say he was last seen Tuesday afternoon in the Cleghorn area wearing blue jeans and a red shirt.

Ricker is described as a white male, six feet four inches tall, 180 pounds with blue eyes and blondish-red hair. He was being held on burglary charges on bond of 97-hundred dollars. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency or the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

The other escapee, 22-year-old Adam Mathison, was re-captured shortly after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Cherokee county. Mathison is being held on a federal warrant for the U-S Marshall Service.
