(Arnolds Park)– A lapel pin commemorating the memory of the late Captain Steve Kennedy is being offered for sale by the Iowa Navy Commodores.
Commodore President Keith Brockmeyer says the idea came from fellow commodore Ruth Schwarck.
The pin is in the shape of a ship’s wheel. They’re being sold for a minimum donation of five dollars each. Brockmeyer says proceeds will go to the Kennedy Memorial Fund.
Pins may be purchased at the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, the Spirit Lake Mainsail office, Lakeland Realty or Iowa Information Publications.
