(Emmetsburg)– An Emmetsburg city councilman is running for U-S Senate on the Green party ticket.
Tim Harthan made the announcement Thursday evening.
Harthan is calling for campaign finance reform, community-based economics and locally-produced alternative energy…among other things.
Harthan admits defeating long-time incumbent Tom Harkin or challenger Greg Ganske is going to be a monumental task. He’s hoping to get atleast four percent of the vote.
