(Storm Lake)– There’s been another setback in the investigation of the death of an infant who’s body went through a shredder at a Storm Lake recycling center.
Authorities say test results into the cause of the infant’s death are inconclusive.
Buena Vista County Sheriff Chuck Eddy believes the baby was dead before it was left at the center in late May. An autopsy indicates the baby was born up to two days before the body was found.
The investigation was hampered at the onset because of the poor condition of the body.
Officials with Planned Parenthood refuse to comply with a court order to turn over names of women whose pregnancy tests at a Storm Lake clinic were positive. The case is headed to the Iowa Supreme Court.
