(Milford)– Two people were sent to the hospital this (Wed.) morning as the result of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 86 and 213th Avenue just north of Milford.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says vehicles driven by an unidentified 16-year-old from Milford and Elizabeth Galm of Hartley collided in the intersection.
Authorities say the 16-year-old, driving a sport utility vehicle, failed to stop for a stop sign, colliding with a Buick LeSabre driven by Galm, who was eastbound on Highway 86.
Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. Galm was treated and released; the 16-year-old was transferred by air to Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. His condition wasn’t available.
Authorities were called to the scene around 9:20 this (Wed.) morning.
The mishap remains under investigation.
