(Okoboji)– The University of Okoboji Foundation has a new Chairman.
R. Smith Schuneman of Okoboji was elected to the position at the foundation’s annual meeting last Friday. He succeeds Joan Schneider, who remains as a board member.
Ann Ditsworth was introduced as the foundation’s new Executive Director, succeeding Kae Luchtel.
Terms of board members Michelle Goodenow and John Van der Linden have expired. Buzz Davis of Okoboji was elected to one of the vacancies…the other remains open.
Elected to additional two-year terms were Joe Estes, Doctor Suzanne Synhorst, Bill Wetzler, Nadine Johnson, Joan Schneider and R. Smith Schuneman.
Other board members are Deb Ditsworth, Bud Getman, Eric Hoien and Emil Richter.
The University of Okoboji Foundation has made gifts of slightly more than 1.1 million dollars to various community projects since it was founded some 13 years ago.
