(Fort Dodge)– The head of the Iowa Department of Transportation says the expansion of Highway 20 to a four lane road across northern Iowa remains a priority.
Mark Wandro, Director of the Iowa Department of Transportation, says most of the work right now is concentrated between Iowa Highway 14 and U-S Highway 65 in Grundy and Hardin counties. That project is slated for completion within a year. Once that’s done, Wandro says Highway 20 will be a continuous four-lane highway between Dubuque and Fort Dodge.
D-O-T commissioners again stated at a meeting earlier this month that they’re supportive of completing the four-lane expansion of Highway 20 between Fort Dodge and Sioux City, but they haven’t set a timeframe for it.
