(Hartley)– Two Hartley women have been charged for allegedly converting receipts at a convenience store they once worked at to their personal use.
Authorities have charged 49-year-old Shirley Ripke with theft in the second degree, a class “D” felony. Ripke was booked into the O’Brien county jail August 27th and was released on her own recognizance after appearing before a judge.
48-year-old Vicky Sweeny was charged with theft in the fourth degree, a serious misdemeanor. She was booked into the O’Brien county jail Tuesday and was released on her personal recognizance after appearing before a judge.
Authorities say Sweeney was the manager of the Amoco Food Shop in Hartley and Ripke was the assistant manager at the time of the alleged thefts earlier this year.
The arrests are the result of an investigation by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
