(Milford)– A Milford woman is running as a write-in candidate for the Okoboji School Board election.
Katherine Lambertson is the pastor at Union Memorial Church in Milford. Lambertson says she decided to run after being encouraged by some church members. She said they feel another point of view was needed on the school board.
Lambertson said she wants to make sure a well-rounded education is being provided to all-students.
Lambertson is running for one of two seats on the Okoboji School Board. William Shafer is the only other announced candidate. Incumbents Mark Fisher and Tom Ahrends aren’t seeking re-election.
Schoolboard elections will be held this coming Tuesday, September 10th.
