(Emmetsburg)– Proceeds from various fundraisers held in Emmetsburg when RAGBRAI rolled through town earlier this summer have been doled out.
Seven organizations have received checks totaling 5,500-dollars.
The Senior Fun and Wellness Day hosted annually be the Palo Alto County Health System and Iowa Lakes Community College received funds to help pay for future keynote speakers. The 4-H Junior Clippers, the Emmetsburg High School wrestling team and the Emmetsburg swim team received funds; along with ILCC’s Hotel-Restaurant Management program, the Business Professionals of America in Emmetsburg and Spencer and the Welding club.
A donation was also made to the track project at Emmetsburg High School, and the Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce.
Funds were also designated for RAGBRAI scholarships at Iowa Lakes Community College.
