(Spirit Lake)– Some Dickinson county residents will be getting a survey late this fall or winter on what they feel should be done about the courthouse.
The board of supervisors voted three-to-nothing today (Tuesday) to conduct a random survey of 600 residents at a cost of 9,512-dollars through Iowa State University. A committee consisting of Vern Ryan of I-S-U, Dean Knapp, an Orleans man who also presented a proposal for a survey, and Corrie Peterson of the Dickinson County Extension Office will draft questions to be included. The supervisors will review them before the surveys are sent out. The plan is to have them in the mail by October 10th.
Supervisor Wayne Northey made the motion to proceed with the survey, saying it’s high time supervisors got moving on the matter. The action followed another lengthy discussion.
