(Spirit Lake)– Cliff Garvey has officially been declared the winner of Tuesday’s school board election in Spirit Lake.
Garvey upset incumbent Carol Schultz by two votes–100 to 98. A canvass this (Fri.) morning by the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors turned up no changes in either count.
There have been no requests for a recount. The time for doing that has expired.
Newly elected members will be sworn at school board meetings Monday evening.
