(Undated)– As the number of infections from West Nile Virus continues to increase in Iowa, one official with the Iowa Department of Public Health is stopping just short of recommending local governments spray for mosquitoes that transmit the virus. Doctor Cort Lohff says for now atleast, they’re leaving that decision up to local officials.
Meanwhile, Dr. Lohff is getting concerned on another front. He says the state Hygienics Lab and Centers For Disease Control are being overwhelmed with requests for testing for the virus.
