(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson County Memorial Hospital is no more. The facility has a new name. Effective Monday, the facility is now known as “Lakes Regional Healthcare”.
The name change was unanimously approved Monday by the hospital’s board of trustees. Marketing Director Jennifer Hickerson says it better reflects the hospital’s mission and service area.
Although the name has changed, Hickerson says the hospital’s services and operations haven’t.
C-E-O Rich Kielman says the hospital’s relationship to Dickinson county will stay the same with the new name, and that the hospital is going to remain independent.
Hickerson says full implementation of the new name is expected to take several months.
