(Spencer)– A northwest Iowa housing agency is getting some federal funding. The Northwest Iowa Housing Authority in Spencer will receive 46-thousand dollars. U-S Senator Chuck Grassley says the money is through the U-S Department of Housing and Urban Development. Grassley says the funding is intended to help local communities develop affordable, quality housing for low-income residents. The funding will be used to pay the salary of a local program coordinator.
A total of 876-thousand dollars is being distributed to various housing agencies throughout Iowa.
