(Arnolds Park)– A new chairman and some new officers have been appointed to the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum’s board of directors. Only two of the new directors are from the lakes area: Nile McDonald and Dennis Ward, who are both from Okoboji. The other new board members are Jennifer Brownlee of Emmetsburg, Jim Coddington of Mason City and Mary Kay Peck of Columbus, Nebraska. The newly-elected Chairman is Rebecca Cory Batcheller, a Sioux Falls stockbroker.
The board also restructured the President’s position under which Tom Kuhlman, Executive Director of the Iowa Great Lakes Chamber of Commerce, will continue in that capacity while also serving as President of the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum.
For the first time, the Maritime Museum in 2003 will offer a thousand dollar membership good for a lifetime pass to the museum, amusement park and Queen Two.
