(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake nursing home is changing hands.
Hilltop Care Center has been sold to Mike Hamm of Hawkeye Care Centers, which owns the Milford Care Center.
Hilltop was purchased by John Neubaum in December of 1977. His son, Todd, has been running the facility in recent years. Todd Neubaum told KUOO news papers for the transaction were signed today (Thursday). A dollar amount of the transaction wasn’t being released. Hawkeye Care Centers takes possession of Hilltop November first.
Todd Neubaum says there will be no changes in staff.
John Neubaum thanked the community for its support over the years.
