(Milford)– Plans by a developer to build an 80-slip marina on the southwest side of Lower Gar Lake are drawing opposition from residents who live in that area.
They showed up at Monday’s Milford City Council meeting, since the development is in city limits. They want the plans scaled back or scrapped altogether, saying there isn’t room for it.
The council listened to the concerns, but took no action. Instead, they scheduled a special meeting for October 28th with the developer, residents and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to see if something can be worked out.
