(Spencer)– A Spencer company has received an 81-thousand dollar state grant to assist in an expansion project.
Perry Judds Heartland Division, a publishing company, received the grant through the Iowa Department of Economic Development’s Set-aside Account.
Perry Judds Human Resources Manager Paula Zenor says another 25 workers will be hired as a result of the expansion. She says it will boost the company’s revenue by 2.3 million dollars annually.
The company will be installing an additional printing press that will allow it to print on heavier stock.
Perry Judds purchased Heartland Press in 1999.
