(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson county authorities have released details into a personal injury accident that happened near Terril during Wednesday evening’s snow storm.
Authorities say 17-year-old Jason Friedrich of Ruthven lost control of a 2001 Ford pickup as he was traveling south out of Terril on 310th Avenue. Authorities say Friedrich was attempting to pass another vehicle when his rear tires slipped, causing the rear of the vehicle to slide around. The vehicle wound up in the west ditch.
Friedrich and a passenger, 15-year-old Kyle Snyder of Ruthven, were taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with possible injuries.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the pickup Friedrich was driving.
The mishap took place around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
