(Milford)– A plant in Milford that manufactures soy biodiesel is getting some federal money.
Soy Solutions has been awarded a 500-thousand dollar start-up grant. It comes from a value-added agricultural grant by the U-S Department of Agriculture.
Soy Solutions is expected to produce a half-million gallons of soy biodiesel its first year and up to one million gallons the second year.
The grant will go toward plant operations until it becomes profitable on its own.
