(Ringsted)– A northwest Iowa school district is looking at a possible bond issue election…perhaps as early as next month.
The Armstrong-Ringsted school board met late last week and approved a contract with F-E-H Associates, a Sioux City architectural firm. The district will pay the firm 8,500-dollars up to the point of a bond issue. If the measure passes, the firm will receive six and-a-half percent of the total project cost…estimated at two-point-six million dollars.
School officials plan to draw up a petition calling for the special election.
Local option sales tax money would be used to lower bond payments or to reduce the payback time.
December 17th is being looked at as a possible date for the bond election.
