(Lake Park)– The Lake Park Fire Department was called to a report of a house fire late this (Tues.) afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the Dennis Molendorp residence at 1713 170th Avenue four miles east and two miles south of Lake Park around 4:15 p.m.
Fire Chief Kurt Anderson says an occupant of the house was spraying some foam insulation from an aerosol can when a pilot light on a nearby stove ignited vapors from the can…causing a flash fire. Anderson says the fire was out by the time firefighters arrived, but there was still quite a bit of smoke. Firefighters ventilated the house and damage was described as minimal.
Anderson says it’s very fortunate that noone was injured in the incident.
The Lake Park Fire Department was on the scene less than a half-hour.
