(Spirit Lake)– Backers of the project to build a year-round YMCA in the Iowa Great Lakes are seeking funding assistance from Vision Iowa.
A delegation of local representatives will travel to Des Moines Wednesday to give an initial presentation on the project to Vision Iowa board members. They’re asking for one and-a-half million dollars.
If things go accordingly, YMCA officials hope to enter the negotiation phase with the Vision Iowa board as soon as December or January.
