(Des Moines)– Representatives of the YMCA of the Okoboji’s were at Wednesday’s meeting of the Vision Iowa board.
They’ve applied for one and-a-half million dollars through Vision Iowa’s Community Attraction and Tourism Program.
The delegation presented proposed plans for the project to the board, which asked questions about the proximity of the Estherville Wellness Center and Lake Park projects…which have already received Vision Iowa assistance.
The YMCA application hasn’t been scored yet by the Vision Iowa board, and there’s no word when the request will officially be considered.
