(Arnolds Park)– Organizers of this year’s University of Okoboji Winter Games are looking for nominations for cheerleaders.
Nominees should meet the following criteria: a person with a ready smile, cheerful disposition and a generous heart; a person with a passionate zeal in promoting the Iowa Great Lakes; someone who’s enthusiastic about what the area has to offer and who has a deep love and concern for its history and future development; a person who has spirit and devotion and who goes above and beyond the call of duty to encourage creative talents in students; and someone who’s concerned about creating a cheerful and pleasant atmosphere for visitors and guests.
Eight cheerleaders will be honored during the fireworks extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 25th. Nomination forms are available by contacting the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. January 3rd is the nomination deadline, with the winners to be announced January 7th.
