(Spirit Lake)– An overheated motor on an ice machine caused some excitement Thursday evening at Stoller Fisheries in Spirit Lake.
The Spirit Lake Fire Department was called to the scene around 8:17 p.m. Chief Wally Jorgenson says the overheated motor caused some arcing, but he says there were no combustibles nearby and any damage was contained to the ice machine. Jorgenson says workers had shut off the power to the machine and the arcing had stopped when firefighters arrived.
The Spirit Lake Fire Department was on the scene about 15 minutes.
