(Emmetsburg)– A Wisconsin man escaped injury today (Wed.) in the crashlanding of an airplane he had been flying.
Authorities say 51-year-old Mike Radlcliff of Marshall, Wisconsin was forced to put the plane down in a soybean field about 15 miles east of Spencer when the engine on the 1965 Cessna lost power.
Radcliff was flying to Spencer on business.
Palo Alto County Sheriff Russ Jergens says Radcliff maneuvered the plane between power lines and roads and landed in the field in section 21 of Lost Island Township.
Jergens says the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and an investigation is underway.
Again, no injuries were reported.
