Armstrong Ringsted Voters Approve Bond Issue

November 23, 2014

(Armstrong)– Voters in the Armstrong-Ringsted school district have overwhelmingly approved a 1.6 million dollar bond issue to build new classrooms and an activity center in Armstrong.

71 percent, or 594 people, voted in favor of the proposal in Tuesday’s election, which needed 60 percent approval. 239 or 29 percent, voted against.

The 1.6 million will be in addition to a million dollars the district has received in a federal grant, meaning they’ll have 2.6 million to work with.
