ILCC Trustees Approve Land Sale

November 23, 2014

(Estherville)– The Board of Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College Tuesday approved the sale of some excess property the college owns in Emmetsburg. A public auction was held earlier this month, and the trustees Tuesday awarded the sale to the highest bid of 24-thousand dollars.

The trustees also Tuesday approved plans for a new student center at the Estherville campus and agreed to let bids for the facility. They’re expected back February 11th, and will likely be acted on at the trustees February 18th meeting. If things go accordingly, college officials say a groundbreaking could be held this coming spring.

In other business, ILCC trustees accepted the fiscal year 2002 audit, and approved the lease of a college-owned building to the Estherville Chamber of Commerce.
