(Estherville)– An Estherville teen has been charged with vehicular homicide in connection with a crash that killed an Estherville man last July.
Authorities say 18-year-old Juan Alcala was arrested Tuesday.
Authorities say the arrest stems from a lengthy investigation by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, the Palo Alto County Attorney’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
The July 15th crash east of Cylinder claimed the life of 20-year-old Brent Weir of Estherville.
Alcala has also been charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense; and two counts of serious injury by motor vehicle.
