(Spirit Lake)– History was made today (Tues.) in Dickinson county. For the first time ever, five people were sworn in as county board of supervisors.
In a ceremony in the third floor courtroom of the courthouse, District Judge David Larson administered the oath of office to supervisors David Gottsche, Wayne Northey, Paul Johnson, Pam Jordan and Marty Allen.
The oath was also administered to County Attorney Rosalise Olson and County Treasurer Linda Voss and Recorder Jan Bortscheller.
Today’s was the last meeting for supervisor June Goldman. Upon adjourning she emotionally thanked the county employees, department heads, fellow supervisors David Gottsche and Wayne Northey, her constituents, and the general public for their assistance and support during her 14 years as supervisor.
