(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake police have made an arrest in connection with a sexual abuse case that allegedly took place on May 23rd of 2002 in a Spirit Lake residence.
22-year-old Nicholas Ron Jones of Spirit Lake has been charged with sexual abuse in the third degree…a class “C” felony. Jones was arrested recently at the Dickinson county jail where he was being held on unrelated charges.
An adult female victim was treated at Lakes Regional Healthcare shortly after the alleged incident.
Police say Jones had already been registered with the state as a sexual offender prior to the May 23rd alleged offense.
