(Spencer)– Spencer police and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating a shooting.
Details are sketchy, but authorities say officers found two people with gunshot wounds in a trailer park earlier today (Monday).
Police were called to the trailer park at 317 West 18th Street shortly after 8:30 this morning. They were conducting a welfare check after it was reported one of the residents didn’t show up for work. Upon entering the trailer, officers found two persons, a male and a female, with gunshot wounds. The female was pronounced dead at the scene; the male was taken to Spencer Hospital and was transferred by air to a Sioux City Hospital. No information on his condition was available. Names of the victims are being withheld pending the notification of family.
