(Spirit Lake)– The first round of contract talks between representatives of Lakes Regional Healthcare and the union that represents its nurses get underway next week.
The Iowa Nurses Association, which represents about 100 registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants at the hospital, will present their initial bargaining proposal at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5th. The session will be held in the hospital’s private dining room. It will be open to the public.
The new contract addresses wages, benefits and other matters. It becomes effective July 1st of this year.
