Terril Man Charged In Alleged Fraud Scheme Involving A SL Business

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– A Terril man has been charged in connection with a alleged scam involving a Spirit Lake business.

Spirit Lake Police Chief Jon Martyr says 39-year-old James Marvin Bonham has been charged with theft in the second degree, a class “D” Felony.

Martyr says the investigation was the result of a report police received Wednesday from Shopper’s Supply regarding someone charging merchandise to a business he didn’t actually work for. Martyr says about 1,400-dollars worth of merchandise had been charged to the victimized business.

Martyr says they were able to track down Bonham after getting a license plate number. He was arrested and booked into the Dickinson county jail.
