The vehicle then turned east on Highways nine and 71 and pulled into a parking lot behind an apartment complext on Lake Street. He then fled on foot. Following an investigation, officers determined the driver of the vehicle was 32-year-old Duane D. Kroska of Spencer. He was apprehended a short time later at Sportsman’s Bar in uptown Spirit Lake.

Kroska was charged with operating while intoxicated, sixth offense; eluding; driving while barred; reckless driving; two stop sign violations and interference with official acts. Kroska was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
