(Emmetsburg)– The Emmetsburg school district continues to visit with neighboring districts about the possibility of sharing.
Superintendent Paul Tedesco says they’ve already met with Ruthven-Ayrshire, and will be meeting later this month with another neighboring district. He declined to say which one.
Tedesco says declining enrollment is starting to catch up with the Emmetsburg school district. Enrollment has declined from a high of 907 in the 1997-’98 school year to 736 in the current school year. Tedesco says projections show the numbers declining to 647 by the time the 2007-2008 school year rolls around.
