(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Great Lakes Cleanwater Alliance will temporarily lose its coordinator if a National Guard Unit is called to active duty.
Steve Anderson serves with the National Guard’s 147th Field Artillery, First Battalion, based out of Sioux Falls. He says there’s a high probability the unit will be called to active duty.
A special meeting of the Cleanwater Alliance was held Friday to talk about the possibility. Anderson says they reviewed the projects the Alliance is currently involved in, and who will be in charge of seeing them through if he’s called to active duty.
Anderson says as of right now, there are no plans to select an interim coordinator.
