O’Brien County Authorities Bust Meth Lab In Sanborn

November 23, 2014

(Sanborn)– O’Brien county authorities say they’ve busted a meth lab in a trailerhouse in Sanborn.

Sanborn police say they were called to the trailerhouse at 901 Floyd Street shortly after 11:00 a.m. Friday on a report of suspicious activity. Upon arriving, officers learned several people had fled the residence in a vehicle, and that atleast one got away on foot. An officer also spotted what was believed to be items used to make methamphetamine near the trailerhouse.

Shortly after arriving at the scene, a Hartley police officer located a male on foot that was alleged to be one of the individuals seen fleeing the trailerhouse earlier. The man was identified as 27-year-old Jeffrey Paeper of Sheldon.

Authorities issued an attempt-to-locate on a blue 1987 Buick. Lyon county sheriff’s deputies located it around 1:00 p.m. near George. The driver was identified as 18-year-old Tony Krueger of George. The passengers were identified as 19-year-old Desiree Davis of Sanborn, 21-year-old Dustin Rodger-Howard of Sheldon and 23-year-old Daryl Dailey of Orange City.

At about 3:30 p.m. Friday, the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the trailerhouse, which turned up an alleged meth lab and a substance allegedly used to make the drug.

Paeper, Davis, Krueger, Howard and Dailey were all charged with possession of methamphetamine and booked into the O’Brien county jail. Bond was set at 1,950-dollars each.

The Clandestine Lab Team from the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene, along with the Sanborn ambulance and Sanborn Fire and Rescue.

An investigation continues by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and Sanborn Police.

Authorities say additional charges and arrests are likely.
