(Spirit Lake)– Bond has been set at 70-thousand dollars for a Spirit Lake man accused of sexually abusing several minor children.
Two charges of sexual abuse in the second degree and two charges of sexual abuse in the third degree have been filed against Joseph Lee Booher.
Authorities say Booher was arrested February 3rd as the result of an investigation at an apartment at number three 27th Street in Spirit Lake.
Police say a search warrant was executed the next day on some vehicles and property Booher owns, including a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer, a 2000 Freightliner semi-tractor and a laptop computer.
The case remains under investigation by the Spirit Lake Police Department and the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Authorities say additional charges may be filed at a later date.
